The official opening of the FSUE "Rosmorport" thematic shift "Wind of distant wanderings" took place in the children's camp "Shtormovoy" of the RCC "Orlyonok", in which 73 winners of the "My Port" competition participate.

As part of the course "Innovative shipbuilding", children will be able to make plywood boats, learn about ways to equip them with solar panels. The module "Programming of system boards for remote control" provides for the manufacture of models of seagoing vessel on radio control.

In the course "Robotics in the automated port infrastructure," the children of the "Shtormovoy" camp will be engaged in the creation of automated port transporters. Participants of the "Young meteorologist" course will learn how to assemble weather stations to determine humidity, temperature and pressure in the hull. The "Entertaining navigation" module is aimed at manufacturing navigation devices (compass, weather vane, binoculars, astrolabes). On the course “Museum of augmented reality”, the children will create an excursion route around the exhibits of the museum of the children's camp “Shtormovoy” using AR technologies, and during the course on “Port engineering”, the children will learn how to assemble harbor cranes.

Course participants will be able to present their results at the camp-wide festival of projects. In addition, winners of the “My Port” competition was offered to enroll in a course of their choice. The children who showed the best results according to the results of the program will be awarded with valuable prizes from FSUE "Rosmorport".

In the evening a solemn opening ceremony of the shift took place in the "Shtormovoy" camp, which began with a general formation of the children. Young sailors were reminded of the tradition of the children's center, according to which children who had previously come to the camp and received the title of a young sailor or a senior sailor have the right to wear a shoulder collar-jack during the shift. Those who arrived at the "Shtormovoy" camp for the first time were initiated into the "rookies".

At the end of the shift, the participants will have tests that will help them get the rank of cabin boys and sailors. The best students will be given a sailor certificate from the "Shtormovoy" children's camp, so that next year they will teach nautical disciplines along with the counselors.

In honor of the opening of the shift, FSUE "Rosmorport" presented winders and flags to the children's camp, as well as branded equipment for counselors of 1, 2 and 3 crews. The children, in turn, were awarded with diplomas of winners and branded premium products with the logo of the program - pop-sockets for phones, waist bags, backpacks and thermal mugs. Each teenager also received branded equipment - a T-shirt, a polo, a sweatshirt and a cap. For studying the nautical disciplines, the children were given workbooks developed specifically for the participants of the program "Wind of distant wanderings", which will help them in mastering of maritime affairs.
