Cargo turnover of Russian seaports in the first 10 months of 2020 decreased by 3%, to 681.87 million tons

Cargo turnover of Russian seaports in January-October 2020 decreased by 3% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 681.87 million tons. The decrease in the aggregate indicator is due to a 10.2% decrease in liquid cargo transshipment, to 348.57 million tons. At the same time, the volume of dry cargo transshipment increased by 5.7% and amounted to 333.3 million tons, the press service of Rosmorrechflot reported.

The cargo turnover of the Arctic basin seaports decreased by 8.5% to 79.96 million tons, of which the volume of dry cargo transshipment amounted to 25.02 million tons (-4.9%), liquid cargo transshipment – 54.94 million tons (-10.1%).

The cargo turnover of the Baltic basin seaports decreased by 7.1% to 200.58 million tons. Of these, dry cargo transshipped amounted to 91.82 million tons (-0.8%), and liquid cargo transshipped amounted to 108.76 million tons (-11.8%).

Cargo turnover of the Azov-Black Sea basin seaports lost 3.2% and amounted to 208.21 million tons, of which the volume of dry cargo transshipment amounted to 90.99 million tons (+13.6%), liquid cargo transshipment – to 117.22 million tons (-13.1%).

Cargo turnover of the Caspian basin seaports increased by 12.4% and reached 6.89 million tons. The volume of dry cargo transshipped amounted to 2.95 million tons (+27.4%), and liquid cargo transshipment – to 3.94 million tons (+3.3%).

Cargo turnover of the Far Eastern basin seaports increased by 4.2%, amounting to 186.23 million tons. In this indicator, the volume of dry cargo transshipment was 122.52 million tons (+7.5%), and liquid cargo transshipment amounted to 63.71 million tons (-1.7%).
