FSUE “Rosmorport” accepts Morskaya self-propelled mud boat

FSUE “Rosmorport” has technically accepted the self-propelled mud boat Morskaya, built by order of the enterprise at JSC Onego Shipyard.

The technical acceptance took place after successful completion of sea trials of the vessel. During the tests, the commission checked the working condition of the equipment, as well as the main operating characteristics, the functioning of automation, navigation and communication facilities. The vessel has shown full readiness for work and good characteristics.

Self-propelled two-screw dredging barge of class KM (*) Ise1 R3-RSN AUT3 Hopper Morskaya, built at Onego Shipyard by the order of FSUE “Rosmorport”, is designed for transportation of soil from dredgers to dumping sites for dredging operations as part of a caravan of dredgers with bucket or suction dredgers.

The solemn ceremony of launching was held at JSC Onego Shipyard on August 7, 2020. The transfer of the vessel is scheduled for the end of November.

The Onego Shipyard plant has already constructed two vessels of the same type with a hold volume of 600 m3 - the Trudovaya scow was handed over to the customer on November 27, 2018 in the Temryuk seaport, the Silnaya scow was handed over to the customer on December 11, 2018 in the Makhachkala seaport. The third vessel, Rabochaya scow (home port Big Port of St. Petersburg) with a hold volume of 900 m3, was delivered to the customer on June 20, 2019.

During the construction of the ships, the equipment of Russian production, as well as of the countries of the Customs Union, was used to the maximum extent. The ship's propelling unit was assembled in Russia.

The vessel has a modular hull and simplified contours, as well as a container-type main power plant. In the construction of ships used a modular method of hull construction, which allowed:
- to have a simplified shape of the hull (reduced costs during construction);
- the ability to cut (insert) additional compartment (hold) V = up to 300 cubic meters (which provided savings of funds and metal at modification of the project);
- engine room placement on the upper deck - two container-type diesel units installed on the deck in the stern part of the vessel, working on lifting (piling) propeller columns with fixed pitch screws (will reduce costs during operation of the ship's MPP, repair (replacement) of mechanisms, as well as perform inspections and repairs of the propulsion system without docking the vessel).

The scow is equipped with a bottom hull opening system. The main engines are placed in the stern of the vessel in protective hoods, which allow to promptly maintain and perform aggregate replacement of mechanisms. Steerable propellers are located outside the hull and have the ability to adjust the screw depth and lift screws from water for maintenance and repair afloat without docking the vessel. Vessels of this project are designed to work in the basins of the Black, Caspian and Baltic Seas. Port of registry of Morskaya is Novorossiysk.
