Five finalists of the My Port project opened a shift at the Orlyonok Russian сhildren’s center

Five finalists of the “My Port” project, aimed at promoting the professions in the field of maritime and port affairs, opened the ninth shift at the Orlyonok Russian children’s center. Within the shift framework, the XXIV All-Russian Festival of Visual Arts will be held and 12 thematic programs will be implemented.

All events will be held in compliance with the rules of sanitary and epidemiological safety. The transfer of children from the regions will be organized with the use of special buses, individual train cars, as well as with the help of charter flights and "green corridors" at airports. During the check-in, children will undergo a medical examination and thermometry. Rooms will be disinfected during the whole shift. This Orlyonok's work schedule was tested in the previous experimental shift.

In total, over 2.3 thousand of children arrived in Orlyonok from 11 subjects of Russia for a new summer shift: from Krasnodar Territory, Moscow and the Moscow Region, the Republic of Adygea, the Stavropol Territory, the Rostov Region, the Murmansk and Arkhangelsk Regions, the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, the Republic of Sakha and the Komi Republic.

FSUE "Rosmorport" successfully implements a socially-oriented innovative educational project "My Port" for former vocational guidance of children. Thanks to this initiative, every child aged 11 to 16 (17) years old, who is passionate about marine topics, has a unique opportunity to become the owner of a ticket to one of the best children's centers in Russia – Orlyonok, Artek, Okean.

The training program is aimed at popularizing the professions of maritime and port business, career guidance and education of children and teenagers on the glorious maritime traditions – inculcation in them the moral values of citizenship and patriotism, the ability to work in a team, traditionally developed among people whose profession, life and work are associated with the maritime industry. Children learn how to sail, navigate by the stars, get acquainted with the functionality of the fleet personnel on various vessels and their engineering duties, learn rigging and semaphoric alphabet - acquire primary skills of maritime affairs in an interactive form: in theory and in practice.
