FSUE “Rosmorport” has announced an auction to work out specification documents and reconstruct onshore facilities of the Vanino-Kholmsk motor railroad ferry service in the seaport of Kholmsk (Sakhalin Region). The construction of the facility is provided for within the implementation of the comprehensive plan for modernizing and expanding the trunk infrastructure for the period up to 2024 and is aimed at maintaining and developing the coastal infrastructure of the ferry service which links the Sakhalin Island and the mainland.

The construction and assembly works are planned to be carried out in 2020-2022 from federal budget resources. The works will be carried out in two stages without decommissioning the ferry service. The contract envisions reconstruction of Berth No. 1, Berth No. 3 and Berth No. 4, a linkspan, an entrance to the berth, passenger stairs and other facilities of the ferry service.

Applications for participation in the auction are admitted till 11:00 a.m. Moscow time, June 19. The results of the auction will be summed up before June 25.
