FSUE “Rosmorport” launches project for building coastal and maritime infrastructure in the seaport of Gelendzhik

FSUE “Rosmorport” and Stroytransgaz, JSC signed a contract on September 14, 2018 to develop construction design documents and build facilities of federal property within the facility “The Coastal and Maritime Infrastructure in the Seaport of Gelendzhik”.

The major goal of the project is to create a modern passenger port, which is capable of receiving passenger vessels and small sailing ships of different class.

The facility will include a passenger terminal with a berth for receiving passenger vessels of up to 5.9 m in draft, up to 142.13 m in length and up to 940 people in its capacity, a yacht marine, protecting structures and hydraulic facilities, a building of the passenger terminal with the Russian border checkpoint and other auxiliary buildings and structures. The project is implemented on the terms of state private partnership with the participation of the private investor “The Seaport of Gelendzhik”, LLC.

The passenger port, which is being created now, will be the inalienable part of a new tourist recreation zone of Gelenzhik. This zone includes hotels, restaurants, leisure centers and other facilities of the tourist infrastructure, which will be constructed at the expense of private investors.

The implementation of this project will allow to considerably increase the number of tourists in the resort city and facilitate the development of sea routes of the coastal region.
