M 3,0 A (Ice 30) Class buoy tender laying ceremony held at Onega Shipyard

A solemn ceremony to lay a buoy tender of M 3,0 A (Ice 30) Class and of Project 3265 was held at the Onega Shipyard on October 31, 2018. The buoy tender is to be built by order of the Federal Government Institution “The Federal Agency for Marine and River Transport (Rechvodput)” for FBI “The Administration of the Volga Baltic Waterway”. The Shipbuilding Engineering Center, JSC is a general developer of the project.

The laying ceremony was attended by Republic of Karelia Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Issues Dmitry Rodionov, head of the Federal Government Institution “Rechvodput” Mikhail Drobin, general designer of the Shipbuilding Engineering Center, JSC Anatoly Benenson, employees of FBI “The Administration of the Volga Baltic Waterway”, director of the Onega Shipyard Vladimir Maizus, members of the Legislative Assembly of the Republic of Karelia, the city administration and other officials.

During the ceremony, Maizus awarded the hull production workers, most distinguished at the vessel construction preparatory stage, with certificates of merit.

The buoy tender of Project 3265 is designed for controlling a ship’s way in inland waters and seaports’ water areas; trawling operations; aids to navigation; maintenance of sea marks; transportation of vehicles, cargoes and passengers.
