FSUE "Rosmorport" takes part in the exhibition "Transport of Russia - 2018"

On November 20, 2018 the exhibition "Transport of Russia - 2018", the largest annual industrial exhibition, opened in Moscow. FSUE "Rosmorport" takes part in the event as a strategic partner.

Within the official opening ceremony Sergey Ivanov, Special Presidential Envoy for environmental planning, ecology and transport activity, read out Russian President Vladimir Putin’s address to the forum participants. He noted that the exhibition was a key event in the life of the industry. The development of the country and the quality of life of the people depend on the smooth development of the transport system.

Yevgeny Ditrikh, the Russian Transport Minister, stressed in his greeting that “the main objective of exhibition – to evaluate the work of the industry critically. To hear various and, maybe, controversial points of view”. The head of the industry compared the work on transport development and especially infrastructure on the horizon of 2024-2035 with the long distance running, which requires "endurance, patience and desire to win". "I invite you to use the next three days as a warm-up before the difficult and, I’m sure, fascinating marathon", – Yevgeny Ditrikh has appealed to the participants of the exhibition.

This year FSUE "Rosmorport" celebrates 15-year anniversary of its activity. On the sidelines of the forum the results of the enterprise’s work will be summed up and plans for the future will be announced in connection with the comprehensive plan for the modernization and expansion of the main infrastructure for the period up to 2024.

At present, within the long-term program of the FSUE "Rosmorport" development (2017-2024), it is planned to carry out more than 60 projects of port infrastructure development with the participation of the enterprise. In the medium and long term contemplation, the enterprise faces ambitious plans to increase production capacity by more than 330 million tons by 2024.
