The FSUE “Rosmorport” Consumer Council gathered for an expanded session in Moscow on November 22, 2018. The session was held as part of an annual exhibition “Transport of Russia 2018”.

The session was attended by Rosmorrechflot deputy head Nadezhda Zhikhareva, FSUE “Rosmorport” General Director Andrey Lavrishchev and the directors of the branches, as well as by chairman of the Consumer Council for the FSUE “Rosmorport” Activities Vadim Gheraskin, members of the Council and representatives of the industry.

The Consumer Council chairman reported on the work of the public association. Over the two years the Council did its best to analyze and develop qualitative proposals aimed at improving the regulatory framework in the field of the port activities and forming up documents on strategic planning.

Andrey Lavrishchev told the audience about the prospects for transforming the enterprise into a stock corporation. Among priorities of corporatization he noted cooperation with private investors. The form of the stock corporation will give broader opportunities to the enterprise to attract investments, step up decision-making and maneuverability of the company as a consequence.

At present, a draft law on FSUE “Rosmorport” corporatization has been submitted for public hearings and it is coordinated by different federal executive authorities.

The FSUE “Rosmorport” General Director also reported on the priority long-term development program, which has been corrected due to the comprehensive plan for modernizing and expanding the infrastructure trunk for the period till 2024. The plan has been approved by the Russian government.

The FSUE “Rosmorport” long-term development program envisages increasing seaports’ capacity by 354 million tons by the year 2025 under the target scenario and by 596 million tons under the forced scenario.

During the session, the participants in the meeting exchanged views on a wide range of issues. As a whole, members of the Council gave an assessment to the prospects for corporatization of FSUE “Rosmorport” and the activities of the enterprise to update the long-term development program.

As part of the session a book “The FSUE ‘Rosmorport’ 15^th Anniversary. Navigation Safety is Our Task” has been presented. In 2018 the enterprise marked the 15^th anniversary. The publication of the jubilee book is timed to this event. The book tells about the development of FSUE “Rosmorport” and its fleet, last projects and promising projects aimed at improving the functioning of Russian seaports and increasing their competitiveness.

Upon completion of the meeting the FSUE “Rosmorport” head thanked all participants and guests and noted the big practical importance of the enterprise for further development and enhancement of FSUE “Rosmorport”.
