As a part of building facilities of the seaport near the settlement of Sabetta, Yamal Peninsula, in 2018 FSUE “Rosmorport” completed the construction of GMDSS coastal stations at the seaport of Sabetta. In view of the results of the survey Certificate of Conformity No GMDSS-3/1-3109-2018 of December 07, 2018 of the GMDSS A1 Sea Area Sabetta coastal station and Certificate of Conformity No GMDSS-3/1-3110-2018 of December 07, 2018 of the GMDSS A2 Sea Area Sabetta coastal station to the requirements approved by Russia’s Transport Ministry Order No 226 of July 23, 2015 have been received.

The GMDSS A1 Sea Area Sabetta coastal station consists of a communications control center and a receiving transmitting segment located at the seaport of Sabetta.

The tGMDSS A2 Sea Area Sabetta coastal station comprises a communications control center, transmitting and radio receiving sets at the seaport of Sabetta.

These coastal stations located within a search-and-rescue area in the Gulf of Ob, the Kara Sea, and on the approaches toward it operational communication is maintained between the Dikson marine rescue coordination center of FSBI “The Administration of Seaports of Western Arctic” and vessels to conduct rescue operations.
