The XI forum of the Business Russia all-Russian public organization was held in Moscow on February 6, 2019.

The forum involved over 1,500 guests, including representatives of ministries and agencies, heads of Russian regions, owners of key Russian companies and experts.

FSUE “Rosmorport” was represented by Deputy General Director for Interaction with the Executive Authorities Aleksandr Smirnov.

A plenary session “The Role of Business in Achieving National Development Goals” was the key event of the forum. The session was attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin. In his speech he said national projects were aimed at making a breakthrough in the Russian development and should give an impetus to business to the rapid development of advanced technology and production of new goods. The role of business in achieving national goals set in the Russian president’s decree in May prioritized during the discussions. The participants in the forum discussed several top issues, including measures to develop entrepreneurship, increase labor productivity, grow raw materials export, increase the infrastructure quality and others.

It is worth noting that the projects implemented by FSUE “Rosmorport” are aimed at meeting the needs of the Russian economy and external trade in cargo transshipment at seaports, increasing the port’s capacity, increasing the seaports’ competitiveness and the transit potential of Russia.
