Information on FSUE “Rosmorport” icebreaker support in Russian seaports as of February 11, 2019

Since the beginning of the 2018-2019 navigation in Russian freezing seaports FSUE “Rosmorport” icebreakers have provided support for over 4,000 vessels.

The main volume of work has been executed in the Azov Basin where since the beginning of the winter navigation the icebreakers – the Kapitan Demidov, the Kapitan Zarubin, the Kapitan Chudinov, the Kapitan Kharchikov, the Kama, the Kapitan Moshkin and the Kapitan Krutov have provided support for 2,595 vessels.

The icebreakers also provide support in the Arctic Basin. In the White Sea the icebreakers – the Kapitan Yevdokimov, the Kapitan Chadaev, the Kapitan Kosolapov and the Dikson have provided support for 175 vessels while in the Kara Sea the Krasin icebreaker has provided support for 28 vessels and the Moskva icebreaker has provided support for 61 vessels in the seaport of Sabetta.

The icebreakers – the Semen Dezhnev, the Kapitan M. Izmailov, the Ivan Kruzenshtern, the Mudyug, the St Petersburg, the Murmansk and the Kapitan Sorokin have provided support for 759 vessels in the Gulf of Finland.

In the Caspian Sea Basin, the icebreakers – the Kapitan Chechkin, the Kapitan Metsaik and the Kapitan Bukayev have provided support for 313 vessels.

Since the beginning of the winter navigation in the Tatar Strait, the seaports of Magadan and Vanino the icebreakers of the Far Eastern Basin Branch have provided support for 92 vessels.

The world’s largest FSUE “Rosmorport” diesel electric fleet, including 35 icebreakers of different power, guarantees all-year-round accessibility to Russian seaports.
