FSUE “Rosmorport” takes part in conference devoted to Baltic Lines project “The Coherent Linear Infrastructure in the Baltic Sea”

A conference is held in Hamburg on February 13-14, 2019 to discuss a Baltic Lines project “The Coherent Linear Infrastructure in the Baltic Sea”. FSUE “Rosmorport” was represented by chief of the department for the investment and the strategic development Andrei Boldorev.

Recognized specialists of the industry: representatives of shipping companies, major scientific institutes and other experts, gathered at the international conference to discuss the issues of spatial planning and functional zoning of water areas.

During the conference, Russian experts will specify their vision on the development of navigation in the Russian zone of responsibility, including due to trans-border cooperation, and study the experience of their foreign colleagues in respect of maritime spatial planning.

Over a period of two days the experts will discuss measures to create the coherent linear navigation and energy infrastructure in the Baltic Sea region. The priority of the event is to increase transnational coordination in spatial solutions of functional zoning of the water area and other issues.

FSUE “Rosmorport” carries out the activities in seven seaports of the Baltic Sea region: the Big Port Saint Petersburg, Primorsk, Vysotsk, Vyborg, Ust-Luga, Kaliningrad and the Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg. The seaports of the Baltic Sea region are the end points of Russia’s international transport corridors sections – the East-West and the North-South corridors.

The Kaliningrad region enclave is a specific feature of the Baltic Sea region. Contacts with the enclave is maintained with the aid of the Ust-Luga – Baltiysk – the German ports marine railway ferry.
