FSUE “Rosmorport” management takes part in final expanded session of Rosmorrechflot Collegium

The Collegium of the Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport and the Public Council at Rosmorrechflot gathered for an expanded joint session in Moscow March 27, 2019. The session was chaired by Russian Deputy Transport Minister, Rosmorrechflot head Yuri Tsvetkov and timed to the 15th anniversary of the federal agency.

The session involved chairman of the Executive Committee of the Coordination Transport Conference of the CIS member-countries Alexander Davydenko, Rostransnadzor deputy head Sergei Saritsky, State Duma deputy Viktor Deryabkin, the FSUE “Rosmorport” deputies director-general, representatives of Russia’s Transport Ministry, Rosmorrechflot, public organizations of marine and river transport, and the industry’s companies.

The participants in the conference discussed the results of the work of maritime and inland water transport, the tasks and plans for 2019.

In his report Yuri Tsevkov gave information on regulatory innovation, performance indicators of the work of maritime and inland water transport, the development of inland waterways and seaports, the improvement of the industry’s education and other trends of Rosmorrechflot’s activity.

Tsvetkov stressed that the activity of Rosmorrechflot was aimed at implementing the tasks determined in the Guidelines of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Transport Strategy of the Russian Federation for the period till 2030 and reflected in the Public Declaration of Key Goals and Priorities of Rosmorrechflot in 2018.

The agency became an executive in charge of the events of the federal projects “Russian Seaports” and “Inland Waterways” and a participant in implementing the federal project “The Northern Sea Route” of the comprehensive plan for modernizing and expanding the trunk infrastructure for the period till 2024. The investment projects will allow for increasing the capacity of Russian seaports up to 1.3 billion tons. The events devoted to the development of the Northern Sea Route will facilitate the growth of cargo freightage up to 80 million tons. The measures taken to increase the capacity of inland waterways are aimed at growing economic relationship of the country’s space and transport accessibility of territories.

FSUE “Rosmorport” Deputy General - for the work with executive authorities Aleksandr Smirnov gave a report on the enterprise’s results. He spoke about key directions of the activity of the enterprise that marked the 15th anniversary in 2018. The report also focused on positive dynamics of financial performances of the enterprise throughout the reporting period and key results and achievements to ensure navigation safety, develop the port infrastructure and the fleet construction.

Aleksandr Smirnov noted that key efficiency indicators of FSUE “Rosmorport” in the midterm will envision the annual increment in profit and the implementation of tasks determined in national projects, primarily in the comprehensive plan for modernizing and expanding the trunk infrastructure, productivity growth and digitalization of business processes.

Based on the results of the conference the work of Rosmorrechlot has been recognized as satisfactory. All proposals will be taken into account in the final protocol and submitted to the industry community for assessment.
