Information on FSUE “Rosmorport” icebreaker support in Russian seaports as of April 1, 2019

From the beginning of the period of icebreaker support FSUE “Rosmorport” icebreakers provided support for 6,532 vessels in freezing seaports of Russia in 2018-2019.

The icebreakers of the enterprise provide support in the Arctic Basin. The icebreakers – the Kapitan Yevdokimov, the Kapitan Chadaev, the Kapitan Kosolapov, the Dikson and the Kapitan Dranitsyn provided support for 333 vessels in the White Sea while the Krasin icebreaker provided support for 47 vessels and the Moskva icebreaker provided support for 130 vessels in the seaport of Sabetta.

At present, the icebreakers - the Kapitan M. Izmailov, the Ivan Kruzenshtern, the Mudyug, the St Petersburg and the Murmansk have provided support in the Gulf of Finland. From the beginning of the period of icebreaker support icebreakers of the North-Western Basin Branch provided support for 1,894 vessels.

The Magadan, the Novorossiysk and the Kapitan Khlebnikov icebreakers provided support for 272 vessels in the Tatar Strait and the seaports of Magadan and Vanino of the Far Eastern Basin Branch.

The period of icebreaker support has been completed in the Azov Basin and the Volga Caspian Sea Basins. Vessels of the icebreaker fleet provided support for 3,856 ships.

The FSUE “Rosmorport” major fleet, which includes 35 icebreaker of different capacity, guarantees all-year accessibility of Russian freezing seaports.
