LLC Stevedoring Company “Malyi Port” included in JSC SUEK has been elected a winner in an opened invitation for proposal to carry out construction and installation activities among the facility “The Reconstruction of Hydraulics: Berth No 34, Berth No 35, an Approach Channel to Berths 31-35, Berth No 34 of the Water Area, Berth No 35 of the Water Area in the Seaport of Vostochny” within an investment and contracting model.

While determining forward looking plans of FSUE “Rosmorport” to create facilities of the seaport infrastructure and develop projects under the terms of public private partnership the enterprise takes into account strategic tasks read out by Russian President Vladimir Putin in his address to the Federal Assembly.

In such manner FSUE “Rosmorport” and LLC Stevedoring Company “Malyi Port” implement plans to carry out dredging operations and reconstruct Berth No 34 and Berth No 35 located in the Wrangel Bay.

The realization of the project in 2021 will allow for increasing the amount of coal handling up to three million tons per year (plus 0.5 million tons). At present, FAI “Glavgosexpertiza of Russia” has obtained positive results on project and estimate documentation. Preparations have been made to carry out construction and installation works. The cost of planned events will amount to 0.6 billion Rubles. Upon reconstructing hydraulic structures and carrying out dredging operations of the water area the terminal of the seaport of Vostochny will be able to receive CH-30 vessels with draft of up to nine meters.

FSUE “Rosmorport” and LLC Stevedoring Company “Malyi Port” are developing an issue on further development of the seaport of Vostochny under which it is planning to create Berth No 36. It is expected that investments of the next stage will amount to 0.6 billion Rubles.

The implementation of comprehensive events for modernizing the port infrastructure of the coal terminal Stevedoring Company “Malyi Port” will allow for increasing the amount of coal handling up to 4-5 million tons.
