FSUE “Rosmorport” ensures passport depths of the water area of the seaport of Kaliningrad

Pursuant to a schedule for carrying out dredging operations in 2019 FSUE “Rosmorport” three dredgers carried out dredging operations in the water area of the Kaliningrad seaway canal.

In order to allow for passport depths in the water area of the seaport of Kaliningrad the operations have been carried out across the Kaliningrad seaway canal from entrance breakwaters to the double-deck bridge in Kaliningrad with due account for water areas of the berths and harbors of the seaport.

Following the results of eight months 2019 the Kaliningrad Directorate of the FSUE “Rosmorport” North-Western Basin Branch has carried out dredging repair operations on the Kaliningrad seaway canal in the amount of over 731,000 cubic meters of excavated soil. The enterprise’s hopper dredgers – the Kronshlot, the Beloye More and the Severnaya Dvina – have carried out dredging operations.

Since September 9, 2019 a contracting organization has been involved to carry out dredging repair operations on the Kaliningrad seaway canal and in harbors of the seaport of Kaliningrad. Under an agreement signed between FSUE “Rosmorport” and LLL “Hydrostroy” dredging operations are planning to be carried out in the water area of the Kaliningrad seaway canal from entrance breakwaters to Picket 399, including harbors of the seaport of Kaliningrad, the water area of the terminal complex on profound processing of oil-based crops near the settlement of Volochayevskoye and the terminal of Lukoil PJSC. Under the agreement, the total amount of dredging repair operations makes up about 590,000 cubic meters of soil.
