The Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) started its work in Vladivostok on September 4, 2019. The forum lasted till September 6. Within a business agenda of the forum, plenary sessions, panel sessions, discussions, round-table meetings and other events are being held. FSUE “Rosmorport” General Director Andrei Lavrishchev, Deputy General Director for the Fleet Vasily Strugov, Deputy General Director Sergei Simonov, chief of the Department for Investments and the Strategic Development Andrei Boldorev and director of the Far Eastern Basin Branch Viktor Vanyukov took part in the business agenda of the forum.

On the first day FSUE “Rosmorport” and Russian Railways JSC signed a memorandum on cooperation on the sidelines of the forum to synchronize the development of the railways and sea terminals infrastructure. The document has been signed by FSUE “Rosmorport” Director-General Andrei Lavrishchev and Russian Railways JSC Deputy Director-General, chief of the company’s transport service Alexei Shilo.

The memorandum envisions mutual cooperation to synchronize the development of the railways and sea terminals infrastructure, effective interaction between the participants in the transportation process taking part in delivering cargoes by railways and by marine transport.

FSUE “Rosmorport” and Russian Railways JSC will join efforts aimed at organizing the activities to develop sea terminals, the railway infrastructure on the approaches toward seaports and creating competitive conditions for using sea terminals in cargo transportation.

Bilateral cooperation is also aimed at ensuring cargo transportation is fast-paced and uninterrupted and rationally organizing cargo transportation in seaports, improving the use of the transport infrastructure at the junction of railways and marine transport.
