FSUE “Rosmorport” General Director visits Republic of Crimea

FSUE “Rosmorport” General Director Andrey Tarasenko and Deputy General Director for the Fleet Sergey Kurov made a working trip to the Republic of Crimea on July 27-30, 2017 to attend the Sevastopol and Crimean Basin Branches. They also met the employees of the Branches.

The General Director gave a high assessment to the Branches' activities and outlined the priority directions of work. Andrey Tarasenko met the Branches' management to discuss the implementation of the plan of activities for the first six months of the year 2017. Special attention was paid to the technical state of berthing facilities and the port infrastructure.

During the trip, the General Director had a working meeting with the Black Sea Fleet commander, Admiral Aleksandr Vitko regarding the matters of further interaction.

In the course of the trip to Sevastopol hero-city on July 30 Andrey Tarasenko took part in the events devoted to the celebrations marking Russia's Navy Day. Among the festive events on this day were the Fleet Parade, a military sports show, a holiday concert, theatrical shows, thematic excursions and a weapons and technical equipment exhibition.

The Khersones training sailing ship's participation in the parade has been a real present for the guests and residents of the city. The ship entered the water area of Sevastopol Bay in full sail and moored to the southern bay after passing through warships and guests' tribunes. During the festivities, the ship operated in a regime of “open board”.

Overall, over 40 ships and boats, as well as 20 pieces of aeronautical equipment took part in the festivities.
