On July 24-25, 2017 FSUE “Rosmorport” Executive Director Andrey Lavrishchev and Deputy General Director Oksana Gubina made a working visit to the Petropavlovsk Branch.

During the visit, they made a comprehensive inspection of all types of activities of the Branch for the first six months of the year 2017. One of the topics discussed during the visit was the transfer of certain facilities into economic management of FSUE “Rosmorport” as part of receiving infrastructure for providing communication in the A2 GMSSB sea area.

Andrey Lavrishchev and Oksana Gubina had a working meeting with Kamchatka Territory Transport Minister Vladimir Kayumov to discuss the preparedness of the seaport of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky for reception of cruise ships during the 2017 navigation and prospects for the development of the port infrastructure.

As part of the working trip, they held a meeting with the acting director of JSC “Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Commercial Seaport” Viktor Layevsky, during which the FSUE “Rosmorport” management visited the city's sea terminal, assessed maintenance of Berth No. 5 and its conformity to all requirements of transportation security. Earlier, FSUE “Rosmorport” took a set of actions to prepare the seaport of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky for reception of cruise vessels. Capital repairs of Berth No. 5 were performed.

In addition, a joint meeting with representatives of the Border Guard Service of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation was held to discuss a possibility to organize a checkpoint for mooring cruise vessels to Berth No. 6 and Berth No. 7.
