The Collegium and the Public Council at Rosmorrechflot held a session in Moscow on June 30, 2017 under chairmanship of Russian Deputy Transport Minister, head of the Federal Agency for Marine and River Transport Viktor Olersky.

The session involved Russian presidential assistant Igor Levitin, Russian Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov, State Duma deputy Artur Chilingarov, chairman of the Executive Committee of the Coordination Transport Conference of the CIS member-states Aleksandr Davydenko, FSUE “Rosmorport” Director-General Andrei Tarasenko, chairman of the all-Russian movement of fleet support Mikhail Nenashev, representatives of Rosmorrechflot subordinate organizations and other representatives of the industry.

On the eve of the Day of Marine and River Transport Workers Igor Levitin and Maksim Sokolov congratulated all participants in the session on the professional day and noted the industry's positive changes that have been lately achieved. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev's greetings message was read out.

The participants in the collegium listened to the following reports – “On the Implementation of the Russian President's Instructions on the Results of the Session of the General Council Presidium Devoted to the Development of Inland Waterways” and “On Practical Training of Cadets of Rosmorrechflot Subordinate Academies Cadets and Undergoing Navigation Training aboard Training Ships”. The participants in the session discussed the implementation of the federal target program, “The development of Russia's Transport System (in 2010-2020)”, the results of and the plan of Rosmorrechflot's activities to develop the principles and mechanisms of openness. Representatives of the industry considered in detail measures to equip vessels with advanced electronic navigation charts.

During the session, Maksim Sokolov presented awards to the distinguished employees. An award pin was presented to the head of the surveillance equipment department of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Directorate of the Navigation Safety System and Transportation Security Aleksei Zakharov.

Upon completion of the session Viktor Olersky congratulated all participants on the professional day and invited them to take part in a traditional ceremony of laying wreaths with the Unknown Soldier Monument in Aleksander Garden. This is the traditional ceremony for Russian sailors and river transport workers.
