On 27 June, 2017, on the threshold of the Sea and River Fleet Workers Day, the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Maksim Sokolov congratulated and awarded the employees of the transport complex, as well as the students of transport universities.

"These days, the marine and inland water transport is actively developing: new high-tech facilities in ports are being introduced, the cargo turnover is growing annually, the largest ship locks are being updated, the new cargo and passenger vessels are launched at the Russian work-yards, rescue and icebreaker fleet is being constructed, the Arctic shipping is being reborn. Educational establishments of marine and river fleet prepare skilled professionals, such as: ship navigators, hydraulic engineers, repairers, economists," – said the Head of the Ministry in his welcoming speech.

Nadezhda Kalashnik – Deputy Director for Economy and Finance of the North-Western Basin Branch – was awarded the badge "Honorary Worker of Marine Fleet" for her achievements and a diligent work for many years.

The following employees were rewarded with the Gratitude of the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation:
Olga Bragina – Deputy Director General for State Property Management;
Aleksandr Kolesnik – Deputy Head of Administrative Department of the Sochi branch;
Moskin Andrey – the pilot of I category of pilot services of the Crimea Basin Branch;
Khvan Anatoly – a shift mate and shift mechanic Dobrynya of the tug of the Azov Basin Branch.
