FSUE “Rosmorport” General Director Andrey Tarasenko took part in the Final Extended Meeting of the Board of Ministry of Transport of Russia that was held in the Government House of the Russian Federation on April 05, 2017.

Assistant to President of the Russian Federation Igor Levitin and Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Arkadiy Dvorkovich delivered the words of welcome to the meeting's participants.

In his address Arkadiy Dvorkovich emphasized, that despite economic difficulties the transport field in the whole has shown successful results over the year of 2016. According to his words, the increase of cargo turnover can be observed almost at all types of transport.

Maksim Sokolov delivered the report “About the Results of Activity of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation over the year of 2016, Targets and Objectives for 2017 and Planning Period until 2019”. In their reports the Board participants reported the main results of the development of transport in the past year as well as perspective plans.

State Secretary – Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Sergey Aristov made a speech on the results of implementation of the plan of legislative drafting activity of the Ministry of Transport of Russia over the year of 2016 and on the perspective plan.

He emphasized that now legislative drafting activity of the Ministry of Transport of Russia is more oriented to solve social and economic issues, issues on safe functioning of transport, efficiency and service quality enhancement.

Sergey Aristov reported about the adoption of the federal law during the current year according to which the Commercial Maritime Code of the Russian Federation was updated. Sergey Aristov specified that the work on the adoption of the  legislative drafts in the field of transport safety and navigation activity is one of the high-priority tasks for the current year.

In the course of the Board Meeting the Minister of Transport of Russian Federation rewarded FSUE “Rosmorport” employees.

The following employees were awarded the Medal of the Order “For Merit to the Fatherland” of the second degree:
- Vorobiev Sergey Alexeevich – Captain of the Sail Training Ship “Nadezhda” of the Far Eastern Basin Branch;
- Orlov Andrey Valentinovich – Captain of the Sail Training Ship “Mir” of the North-Western Basin Branch.
