Week-Long Cruise Between Sochi and Crimea Starts in June

In order to implement the instruction of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin on restoring regular cruise service in the Black Sea region, the FSUE “Rosmorport” founded LLC “Black Sea Cruises” in 2017. The company is acting as an operator of the cruise service project.

Regular cruise service is planned to be opened on June 11, 2017. The route will connect the cities of Krasnodar Territory and Crimea. A cruise liner will set off from Sochi every Sunday in the navigation season of 2017. The journey will last six days. One-day calls to Novorossiysk and Sevastopol are envisaged. The journey also includes a two-day stay in Yalta and a return to Sochi. Passengers will have an opportunity to start and end the cruise in Novorossiysk and Sevastopol.

The vessel has been named Knyaz Vladimir. It is not accidental that the liner was given this name. Many historical places in the Black Sea region are related to the activities of Prince (Knyaz) Vladimir. In 988 Grand Prince Vladimir Svyatoslavovich was baptized in the town of Khersones (Greek name) or Korsun (Slavic name).

The cruise liner is a full service floating hotel with everything necessary for a safe and comfortable voyage. There are four pools, two restaurants with buffet service, a cinema, bars, disco and concert hall, and a spa zone aboard the liner.

The voyage will offer vivid and unforgettable experiences. The cruise's program will satisfy the most exacting passengers of any age. There will be stirring shows for adult passengers. Informative and entertainment events will keep young travelers out of boredom. Experienced entertainers will take much care of children aboard the vessel.

The cruise liner is fully ready for passengers. In 2013 and 2017 it was reconstructed, modernized and its interiors and conditioning correspond to up-to-date standards.

At present, the vessel is being repaired within regular certification at the Kusey Star shipyard in Tuzla, Turkey. The works are being completed to renovate cabins, passenger areas and public zones aboard the cruise liner. Renovation of GLONASS equipment is in progress to bring it into conformity with the requirements of Russian standards.

Crew members holding key positions remain aboard the cruise liner and perform control and acceptance of major repair works.
