On February 15, 2017 meeting with the Maritime Community representatives was conducted in Moscow under the chairmanship of the Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation – head of the Federal Agency for Marine and River Transport Viktor Olersky.

Deputy Directors of Rosmorrechflot Nadezhda Zhikhareva, Yuri Kostin, Alexander Poshivai, Director of the Department of State Policy for Marine and River Transport of the Ministry of Transport of Russia Vitali Klyuev, FSUE “Rosmorport” General Director Andrei Tarasenko, President of the Russia Chamber of Shipping Alexey Klyavin, representatives of the Federal Service for Supervision of Transport (Rostransnadzor), Russian River Register, shipping companies, design institutes and branch organizations took part in the meeting.

The meeting participants discussed the matters of the implementation of the Law “About Transport Safety”, customs and border control and vessels registration, organization of work of checkpoints through territorial border of the Russian Federation, implementation of the Ballast Convention and application of the Manilla Amendments in the   Convention of watch keeping and seaman training and certification, as well as the matters of the tariff regulation of shipping operations, state support and loan interest rate subsidization for organizations of the branch.

Besides, the matters of ensuring safe navigation and development of sea and inland water transport were discussed in the meeting.
