On the seventh of February, 2017, Andrey Kugaevsky who is the Head of Municipal Entity of Yamal District and Eugeniy Kot who is CEO of Yamal LNG have visited Moskva icebreaker of FSUE “Rosmorport” in Sabetta seaport.

 A tour was held aboard a ship for guests of honor. Then there was a tea party in the company of captain and icebreaker’s crew, who have in return told about the specifics of Sabetta seaport, as well as concept of icebreaker support considering the start of liquefied natural gas (LNG) loading in framework of implementation of LNG project in Yamal.

Moskva icebreaker has been rendering services in Sabetta seaport since November, 2016. The tasks of the icebreaker are operating in the water area and on the approaches to the seaport as well as timely carrying out icebreaker operations along the berthing line by the time of cargo ships arrival and their subsequent mooring. The icebreaker has performed more than 70 port operations and more than 100 icebreaker operations since the beginning of its work in Sabetta.

During the official visit, the Head of Municipal Entity of Yamal District emphasized the high professionalism of Moskva icebreaker’s crew, and wished the crew and the captain all the best and to always have a hand-width of water under the keel. On February 7, 2017 the appropriate entry was left in the log book of the icebreaker.
