Information on Icebreaker Support in the Seaports of Russia as of February 6, 2017

FSUE “Rosmorport” icebreakers have escorted more than three thousand vessels since the beginning of 2016-2017 period.

Arctic Basin
Moscow and Tor icebreakers perform icebreaker support in water area of Sabetta seaport. The icebreakers have escorted 58 vessels since the beginning of icebreaking support.

White Sea
At present three icebreakers: Dickson, Kapitan Evdokimov and Kapitan Chadayev are performing icebreaker support in the area. 193 vessels have been escorted since the beginning of winter navigation.

Gulf of Finland
797 vessels have been escorted since the beginning of navigation. 11 icebreakers of North-Western Basin Branch are involved in the support.

Sea ​​of ​​Azov
Four icebreakers: Kapitan Moshkin, Kapitan Chudinov, Kapitan Demidov and Kapitan Krutov are escorting vessels in the seaports of Azov, Rostov-on-Don, Taganrog and Yeysk.
The number of escorted vessels since the beginning of winter navigation in the region is 1622.

Caspian Sea
Kapitan Chechkin, Kapitan Metsayk and Kapitan Bukaev icebreakers are escorting vessels in Volga-Caspian seaway canal.
428 vessels have been escorted since the beginning of winter navigation.

Far Eastern Basin
Krasin icebreaker is escorting vessels in Vanino seaport. 52 vessels have been escorted since the beginning of winter navigation. Kapitan Khlebnikov Icebreaker has escorted 29 vessels in Magadan seaport.

The world's largest diesel icebreaker fleet, which includes 36 icebreakers of various capacity, ensures year-round accessibility to the seaports of the country.
