On December 7, 2016, the XXXVI Transport Coordination Meeting (TCM) of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member states, chaired by the Minister of Transport of Russia Maksim Sokolov, was held within UNESCAP in Moscow.

The meeting was attended by heads of the Transport ministries and agencies of the member states: Republic of Armenia, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, as well as the Executive Committee of the TCM.

The meeting participants summed up the results of their work in 2016, discussed the issues of preparation for the World Cup in 2018 and the development of transport corridor “North-South”, optimizing the route between the Baltic States and India. There was also presented the project of development of the commercial port of Olya.

During the meeting, “Honorable CIS transport worker” medal was awarded to the FSUE “Rosmorport” General Director Andrei Tarasenko. In addition, the head of the enterprise received certificate on associate membership of the FSUE in the CIS Countries Transport Coordination Meeting.
