On November 30, 2016, in a solemn ceremony at the X International Forum “Transport of Russia – 2016”, FSUE “Rosmorport” signed Memorandum of Understanding with the Seaport of Ostend (the Kingdom of Belgium). The document was signed in presence of the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Maksim Sokolov.

The signing of memorandum implies the exchange of best practices and information in the field of port management systems to ensure safe and unhindered access to the ports, improving the energy efficiency of port facilities and introduction of renewable energy sources, development of educational programs for professional development of Russian and Belgian experts.

The Memorandum is aimed at development of strategic partnership in the implementation of projects of port infrastructure development, creation of new business opportunities and support of existing business relationships in the field of maritime trade and logistics between Belgium and Russia.
