Spolokhi Workboat Ceremonial Launching on the Onezhsky Ship Building and Ship Repairing Plant
On November 9, 2016, ceremonial launching of Spolokhi ice strengthened workboat of the SI23WIM project, constructed for FSUE “Rosmorport”, was held on the Onezhsky Ship Building and Ship Repairing Plant.
The launching ceremony was attended by Head of the Republic of Karelia Aleksandr Khudilainen, Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Mikhail Popov, Deputy Head of Petrozavodsk Aleksandr Ratnikov, Deputy General Director for State Property Management of FSUE “Rosmorport” Olga Bragina, Director of the Onezhsky Ship Building and Ship Repairing Plant Vladimir Mayzus and other officials.
During the event a traditional ceremony of vessel “christening” took place. According to marine tradition, vessel’s “godmother” Olga Bragina broke a bottle of champagne over the vessel's bow inaugurating the beginning of its “new life”.
Construction of the boat was performed for operation in river estuaries, coastal zones and open inland seas, straits, port waters with the distance from place of refuge not more than 20 miles.
Vessel operation is planned in the seaport of Arkhangelsk.
