On September 2, 2016 at the Eastern Economic Forum platform FSUE “Rosmorport” and AO “United Grain Company” signed Agreement on Cooperation in presence of Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation – Head of the Federal Agency of Sea and River Transport Viktor Olersky within implementation of project on construction of specialized grain terminal in the seaport of Zarubino.

The Agreement provides the development of design documentation and execution of complex engineering surveys within the project.

The project involves construction of a terminal for handling grain of capacity 10 mln. tones per year. Capacity of the first startup complex is 3.5 mln. tones.

It is expected that the constructed terminal will be focused on handling grain grown in the Siberian regions of Russia, and transit cargoes of grain of agricultural producers of the Northern Chinese provinces.

Project implementation will promote the development of transport and transit potential of the Russian Federation and increasing trade turnover between our country and the countries of the Asia-Pacific region.
