Ice-class Workboat Bata Solemnly Launched at Onega Shipyard
The ice-class workboat Bata of Project ST23WI-M was solemnly launched at the Onega shipyard on August 17, 2016 for FSUE “Rosmorport”.
The ceremony involved Karelia Republic Deputy Head Vyacheslal Bayev, head of the Petrozadovsk City District Irina Miroshnik, deputy head of the Petrozavodsk City District Olga Starikova, director of the Onega shipyard Vladimir Maizus and other officials.
The boat Christening ceremony was held. Under the fleet’s tradition, Elizaveta Maimistova (design engineer of the Onega shipyard), the boat’s godmather, broke a sacrificial bottle of champagne across the boat’s bow by inaugurating “a new life”.
Six boats are being constructed to transport commissions, crewmembers to other vessels and facilities, cargoes and pilots.
The fist boat is expected to put into operation in the Kavkaz seaport.
