Khersones Sailing Ship Moored at Grafsky pier of Sevastopol

On June 1, 2016 Khersones Training Sailing Ship moored at Grafsky Pier in Sevastopol.  At this time, there was a rainbow over the seaport of Sevastopol, that is considered a good omen by sailors.

Khersones Three-masted sailing frigate was built in Poland at the Gdansk shipyard in 1989. Keel of the vessel was laid on December 24, 1987.

The Sailing ship is the only vessel in the world, which in 1997 under the sails and the engine turned off rounded Cape Horn, which is still considered dangerous for the navigation of vessels.

Currently on the sailing ship repair and modernization works are completed.

In June 2016 FSUE “Rosmorport” and the Sevastopol government signed an agreement on cooperation in the operation of Khersones Training Sailing Ship.
