Nadezhda Sailing Ship to Take Part in the Black Sea Tall Ships Regatta

On June 28, 2016 in Vladivostok there was held a solemn farewell of Nadezhda sailing training ship heading for Romania, where Black Sea Tall Ships Regatta 2016 starts on September 8 in the seaport of Constanta.

The event was attended by Vice-Governor of the Primorsky Territory Aleksandr Rolik, Executive Director of FSUE “Rosmorport” Andrey Lavrischev, Director of “Unicom (Vladivostok)” of the “Sovcomflot” group of companies Aleksandr Orlov, as well as representatives of the Nevelsky Maritime State University and Primorsky Krai seaports Administration.

The honorable guests wished the cadets and the sailing ship crew a productive and calm voyage, as well as traditional “seven feet under the keel”. After a symbolic blow to the bell a command to go aboard was given to the cadets and Nadezhda started out.

116 cadets of Nevelsky Maritime State University will have practical training on board of the vessel. During all the voyage there will be held trainings, that will allow cadets to solidify their knowledge acquired in the University.
