On June 1, 2016 Sommers  dredger of TSHD 1000  project successfully completed sea tests. The vessel is the first in a series of three dredgers of TSHD 1000 project, constructed at the “Krasnoe Sormovo” plant for FSUE “Rosmorport”.
During the tests operation of all mechanisms and systems of the vessel was examined. In particular, systems of hydrocyclone, excavation and discharge of soil and also drainage system were tested.
Specialists noted convenience and the most advanced technical solutions for dredging equipment control that is provided both from the bridge and local posts. The dredger has shown full readiness to operation and good performance.
After completion of mooring and sea tests, preparations for the transfer of the vessel to FSUE “Rosmorport” North-Western Basin Branch are carried out.
The contract for the construction and supply of TSHD 1000 project dredgers was signed in April 2014. The launching of the first dredger Sommers was held in January this year.
