Severnaya Dvina Dredger Arrived In Rotterdam

On May 30, 2016 Severnaya Dvina dredger arrived in Rotterdam (Netherlands) for final testing of the equipment.

During three weeks on the vessel there will be carried out adjustment and setting of the dredging equipment and also its testing on water. Then, after a short dock inspection, Severnaya Dvina will be prepared for transition to Arkhangelsk. On June 21 after completion of all tests, an Open Day will be held on the dredger. Project of the dredger with hold capacity of 2 000 m3 meets modern requirements of the harsh climatic conditions of the Northern region. Severnaya Dvina is able to operate in ambient temperature range from -35°C to +40°C. The dredger is equipped with necessary high-performance dredging equipment, as well as additional equipment, allowing to perform dredging in limited areas near piers and berths.

The vessel’s hull launch took place in November 2015, after which completing works and a series of tests confirming its characteristics were conducted.
