FSUE “Rosmorport” Achieves All Its Goals in the Winter Navigation of 2015-2016

The results achieved overs the vessel icebreaking assistance period 2015-2016 in the freezing ports of Russia wereaummarized on May 26, 2016 at the meeting held in the Federal Agency for Marine and River Transport (Rosmorrechflot) under the chairmanship of Deputy Head of Rosmorrechflot Yuriy Kostin. The meeting was attended by heads of seaport administrations and port captains, the representatives of the shipping community, Federal State Unitary Enterprise  “Atomflot”, Federal State Institution “Administration of the Northern sea route.” The enterprise was represented in the meeting by Executive Director of FSUE “Rosmorport” Andrey Lavrischev.

Head of Department of Fleet Operation FSUE “Rosmorport” Sergey Dadyka made a report entitled “Main results of vessel icebreaking assistance period 2015-2016 in the freezing ports of the Russian Federation and objectives for 2016-2017.”

As of December 1, 2015, FSUE “Rosmorport” operated a group of 41 vessels, including 30 icebreakers and icebreaking tugs owned directly by the enterprised. At the end of December last year Murmansk icebreaker was transferred to  FSUE “Rosmorport”.

"To ensure the smooth operation of seaports, Icebreaking Operations Basin Commissions (Icebreaking Operations Headquarters) have been established by orders of the captains of seaports . Representatives of the branches of FSUE “Rosmorport” were included into the headquarters staff and took an active part in the operational management of icebreakers and in  ice convoy formation,” Sergei Dadyka noted, adding, “In 2015-2016 navigation the enterprise achieved all its goals in all water areas.”

The meeting deemed the work of FSUE “Rosmorport” over the winter navigation satisfactory.
