On March 9, 2016 in Murmansk, under the chairmanship of Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government Dmitry Rogozin there was held a meeting of the Presidium of the State Commission on Arctic Development.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Victor Olersky, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Alexander Tsybulsky, Head of the Business Council of the State Commission on Arctic Development Sergey Shishkarev, General Director of FSUE “Rosmorport” Andrey Tarasenko, representatives of federal executive authorities, business, scientific organizations and heads of the Arctic regions of the Russian Federation.

The Commission members discussed the new draft of the state program “Socio-economic development of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation”, prospects for the formation of a unified transport infrastructure and provision of vehicle transportation to the Arctic zone of Russia, as well as the results of the “Northern Delivery” in 2015 and “The Arctic: Present and Future” forum held in December of the previous year.
