Representatives of FSUE “Rosmorport” Discuss Cooperation in Icebreaker Support in the Baltic Sea with Finnish Colleagues

On February 29, 2016 representatives of The Finnish Transport Agency paid a working visit to the North-Western Basin Branch of FSUE “Rosmorport”.

As a part of the planned activities program, a meeting was held with Head of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Department of Ports and Fleet Operations Sergey Dadyka, Head of the Division for Icebreaker Fleet Operation of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Department of Ports and Fleet Operations Lev Travin, Director of the North-Western Basin Branch Sergey Pylin and Deputy Director for Navigation Safety and Security Andrey Balashov, devoted to practical implementation of the Agreement between the government of the Republic of Finland and the government of the Russian Federation on cooperation and interaction in rendering services for icebreaker support in the Baltic Sea.

The participants discussed issues concerning the order of provision of icebreakers by FSUE “Rosmorport” and options for providing the services on commercial basis.

FSUE “Rosmorport” owns the world's largest diesel-powered icebreaker fleet consisting of 31 icebreakers of various capacity.
