The General director of FSUE Rosmorport Andrey Tarasenko held a working meeting with the heads of stevedoring companies of the seaport of Kaliningrad. The meeting was attended by: the head of the department of Design, Planning and Finance of capital construction facilities Elena Khokhlova, the head of the Construction department Olga Chervochkova, the Director of the North-Western Basin Branch Sergey Pylin and the head of the Kaliningrad Department Andrey Moshkov. Also the meeting was attended by the captain of the seaport of Kaliningrad Alexander Shevtsov. The delegation of heads of stevedoring companies of the seaport was headed by the president of the Association of Stevedoring companies of the seaport of Kaliningrad Vladimir Kozyrev.

During the meeting the delegates summed summed up the results of the operation of the seaport of Kaliningrad in 2015 and discussed the plans of FSUE Rosmorport activities for development and maintenance of the state property in the port in 2016-2018. The Kaliningrad stevedores were informed about the repair dredging program of the Kaliningrad sea channel in 2016, implementation of which will ensure continuous operation of the channel and maintain its declared technical parameters. Andrey Tarasenko announced the plan for implementing the program for the reconstruction of protective dams of the Kaliningrad sea channel.

The heads of stevedoring companies identified problems of attracting cargo traffic to the port, the main of which for the Kaliningrad stevedores remain the matters of noncompetitive transit rates for the carriage of goods by rail through the territory of Lithuania and Belarus to the sea port of Kaliningrad and the simplification of customs formalities for goods in transit. According to the stevedores, some of the said problems can relieve the increasing in the number of railway ferries on the line Ust-Luga – Baltiysk.

Summing up the meeting, General Director of FSUE Rosmorport Andrei Tarasenko assured the participants of his he intention to continue working towards the development of infrastructure of the seaport  Kaliningrad, to support and promote joint projects,  to assist in solving the existing problems of the port.
