The Executive Director of FSUE “Rosmorport” Andrey Lavrishchev took part in the III annual International Forum of dredging companies, held on February 25, 2016 in Moscow.

During the event there were discussed the issues of state planning of dredging works in the ports of Russia, shipbuilding, new technologies in global dredging, and implementation of major dredging projects. Representatives of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, Rosmorrechflot and the largest dredging companies were invited to participate in the discussion.

In his report on ongoing and future projects of development of the Russian seaports Andrey Lavrischev noted that, despite the change of the economic situation in the country, according to  the results of 2015, cargo transshipment in the seaports of the country increased in comparison with the same period of the previous year by 5.5% and amounted to 677 million tonnes.

The Executive Director elaborated on the major construction projects on the seaport facilities near Sabetta village, the access channel, and the water area of the multifunctional sea cargo complex Bronka. Besides, he reported that the enterprise was working on the development of its dredging fleet.

“We consider the significant growth in the volume of dredging works performed with our own equipment to be our achievement,” said A. Lavrischev. He also added that FSUE “Rosmorport” evaluates the use of its own dredging fleet to be 1,5-2 times more efficient than the use of borrowed technology.
