The Results of FSUE “Rosmorport” Program for Increasing Fleet Size in 2015

Water transport has always been of great importance to our country with its extensive river system and the great extent of sea coast, that is why one of the greatest priorities of FSUE “Rosmorport”, as a systemically important enterprise in the port industry, is the replenishment and renewal of the fleet, reducing its average age.

 

Total fleet of FSUE “Rosmorport” numbers more than 250 units. Nowadays, the enterprise as an ordering customer implements the construction of 23 vessels. For the period of 2016 to 2018 it is planned to purchase and construct another 12 vessels.

 

In 2015 the fleet of FSUE “Rosmorport” was replenished by twelve vessels:

- three survey motorboats for hydrographic work in Makhachkala, Astrakhan and Novorossiysk;

- two ice class workboats - Sergey Cherednichenko and Nord for operation in the seaports of Vladivostok and Vostochny;

- the Lotsman Baskakov ice class workboat for inspection of the condition of navigable waterways, inspection and environmental monitoring of water areas and implementation of delivery and removal of pilots from ships.

 

In 2015, FSUE “Rosmorport” also purchased in the secondary market the Taifun crew boat, three dredging vessels: the Severnaya bucket ladder dredger, the Bolgradskaya self-propelled sludge-removal barge, and the Priliv multicat.

 

FSUE “Rosmorport” has the largest diesel icebreaker fleet in the world: 31 icebreakers of various capacity and type ensure transportation of more than 70 million tons of cargo and guarantee year-round availability of Russian seaports.

 

This autumn the Vladivostok icebreaker of the 21900M project was included into the books of the enterprise. In December, the Murmansk icebreaker was given to the enterprise. The third vessel of the project, the Novorossiysk icebreaker was launched in the end of this October and is currently undergoing necessary tests and inspections.
