Innovative Activity of FSUE “Rosmorport” in 2015

FSUE “Rosmorport” is included in the list of 60 largest companies with state participation which develop and implement innovative development programs.

The innovative activity of the enterprise is an element of a long-term planning system, is aimed at improving the level of the navigational safety in the seaports of Russia and approaches to them, improving the efficiency of use and development of the federally owned seaport infrastructure through the introduction of innovative technical, organizational and management technologies.

In 2015, total expenses of FSUE “Rosmorport” on innovative development programs amounted to 68.5 million rubles, including on the innovation procurement – 54.7 million rubles, on the implementation of the Plan for Research and Design and Experimental Works – 13.8 million rubles.

In particular, for provision of the pilots of the enterprise with the current information about the depths of seaway canals during pilotage, the branches of the enterprise have purchased 115 tablet PC based pilot sets, which provide the reception of static, dynamic, and voyage related information and messages concerning the safety of navigation from other vessels and shore-based AIS stations, as well as the reception of messages, complying with the requirements of the International Standard for Tracking and Tracing on Inland Waterways (VTT).

In 2015, the icebreakers “Kapitan Metsayk” and “Captain Chechkin” were equipped with the GLONASS/GPS satellite navigation systems for the reception of differential corrections from 2.5 m to 1 m for accurate determination of the location of vessels.

The enterprise branches are carrying out the modernization of the navigational aids park. Metal floaters are being systematically replaced with the plastic ones, which leads to a significant reduction of operating costs as due to the fact, that they do not corrode and do not require staining, their service life is increased.

The navigational tools are equipped with LED light sources with the power supply system from a renewable energy source.

The Arkhangelsk Branch has been equipped with 4 sets of systems for supply of the light-optical equipment of coastal navigation marks powered by solar panels on the leading beacons of Onega Seaport, which proved effective even under low sunlight conditions (polar night).

In the Azov Basin Branch the light optical power plant was put into operation for the supply of navigational aids with electric energy in the coastal zone, the power plant is mounted on the leading beacon of the 3rd elbow of the Azov-Don Sea Canal.

In the Murmansk Branch the innovative technology of soil chemical consolidation with the use of pumping of 1244 cubic meters of mineral and polymeric resins for stabilizing of foundation and strengthening of soil to the estimated project density was first applied in order to improve the seismic resistance of the marine station.

One of the innovative solutions recommended by the Ministry of Transport of Russia and used in designing and modernization of objects of the port infrastructure, was the introduction of the 4D technology of visual modeling of organization of construction, reconstruction and modernization of the objects of the transport complex.

Use of this technology can reduce the expenses for designing and constructing of objects by significantly reducing the mean project execution time.

Besides, the innovative activities were applied during the creation of the information environment in the enterprise through automation of business processes and the development of proposals for the involvement of subsidiaries together with scientific and industrial institutions in the development of innovative products and services.

In the next three years FSUE “Rosmorport” is planning to spend more than 133 million rubles for innovation as provided by the Plan for Research and Design and Experimental Works for 2016-2018.
