FSUE “Rosmorport” General Director Andrey Tarasenko visited the Astrakhan Branch on 21 – 22 November 2015.

There was held a meeting on results of dredging in Volgo-Capsian marine canal basin carried out in 2015 and works scheduling for the next year. The meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Astrakhan Government – Minister of industry, transport and natural resources of the Astrakhan Region Radik Kharisov, administration of FSUE “Rosmorport”’s head office and the Astrakhan Branch, and contractors’ representatives.

During his visit Andrey Tarasenko also checked how dredging in Volgo-Capsian marine canal basin was organized. The General Director flew over the canal in a helicopter, after that he examined area No. 3 navigation and hydrographic services and its preparation for the winter.

The business visit resulted decisions made to organize cooperation between the parties involved, which will ensure safe shipping in the region.
