On 18 November 2015 the State Committee under chairmanship of Nikolay Patrushev gathered in Petrozavodsk to discuss Preparation of Celebrations of the 100^th Anniversary of Republic of Karelia. The meeting was attended by FSUE “Rosmorport” General Director Andrey Tarasenko.

The participants of the meeting summarized the work of the State Committee and set tasks to execute the federal target program “Development of the Republic of Karelia up to 2020”.

Andrey Tarasenko made a report on the topic “Extension and Development of Onezhsky Shipyard Ship Building Capacities”.

Mr. Tarasenko told the audience about shipyard performance results in the first working semester after resumption of production activities. Starting from June 2015 the shipyard has been executing orders for the completion and building of 12 ships. In October comprehensive repairs of the Enisey boat were completed. Renewal of the shipyard capacities has allowed to create 350 jobs. The shipyard is also planning to hire 400 more employees in the near future.

At the moment a program of additional investments into the shipyard is also being elaborated in order to broad the range of constructed ships, in particular, of dredging ships.
