FSUE "Rosmorport" at "NEVA – 2015" International Exhibition Opening

On 22 September 2015 official delegation from Rosmorrechflot headed by acting Head Sergey Gorelik took part in the opening of XIII International Exhibition and Conference for civil shipbuilding, shipping, seaports activities and development of the ocean and shelf – "Neva 20015" in Saint-Petersburg. FSUE "Rosmorport" was represented by Executive Director Andrey Lavrischev and director of the North-Western Basin Branch Sergey Pylin.
 
The exhibition business program includes meetings on the following topics: "Equipment and software for geophysical and hydrographic exploration of the ocean floor", "Facilities and technologies for seaports: efficient investment", "Seaports and Shipping Security: innovations, technologies, equipment", "Economical, technological and navigational cooperation in the Arctic", and others. Guests also can see Russian achievements in engineering, production, supply, maintenance, repair and utilization of marine and inland civil facilities.  
 
Moreover, the official state flag hoisting ceremony on board of Vladivostok icebreaker (21900M project) is planned to be held on 23 September. The vessel is one of three liner diesel-electrical icebreakers with capacity of 18 MW that are planned to be set into operation in 2015 – 2016 in accordance with the "Marine Transport" subprogram of the federal target program “Development of the Russia transport system (2010 – 2020 годы)”.
 
Vladivostok can go through ice with width of up to 1.5 m. Its main purpose is self-dependent pilotage of large-capacity vessels, towage, salvage and cargo transshipment. Vladivostok icebreaker is a double-decker with unlimited area of navigation, propelled by two full-revolving rudders and equipped with a maneuvering device.

length – 119.8 m
beam –  27.5 m
draft –  8.5 m
speed in ice-free water –  17 knots
 
The vessel was laid down on 17 October 2012 at Vyborgsky shipyard.
 
Sea trials began on 12 September 2015.
