On 6 August General Director of FSUE "Rosmorport" Andrey Tarasenko has made a visit to Sabetta Sea Port within bussiness trip of Minister for transport of the Russian Federation Maxim Sokolov to the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area.

The delegation included Minister for Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation Sergey Donskoy, Deputy Minister for transport of the Russian Federation Viktor Olerskiy, acting Head of Rosmorrechflot Sergey Gorelik, General Director OJSC "Yamal SPG" Evgeniy Kot and Head of FSI "The Northern Sea Route Administration" Alexandre Olshevskiy.

According to the agenda, the delegation disccussed current issues on construction of south-eastern root of ice barrier and navigational approach to the Gulf of Ob.

The project is been carrying out in accordance with the target program "Development of the Russian transport system for 2010 – 2020" and is aimed at construction of transport terminal on Yamal peninsula. The project of a  state-private partner will allow creation of the infrastructure necessary for South-Tambey gas-condensate field development, thereby contribute to social and economic development of the northern territories and strengthen Russia's role in the Arctic. It also will help to increase liquefied natural gas production in 2.5 times: from 10 mln tons a year up to 30 mln tons.

FSUE "Rosmorport" is to participate in dredging while marine canal and the seaport basin construction. Moreover, FSUE "Rosmorport" acts as a builder of ice barriers and on-shore port infrastructure. Construction of VTS centre and aids to navigation is planned in order to ensure navigation safety.
