On 7 August 2015 Lotsman Baskakov working motor boat of WB22MT-1 project was launched at Yaroslavsky shipyard. The boat has been constructed by FSUE “Rosmorport” order within the enterprise activities program coordinated by Rosmorrechflot.

Launching a vessel is one of the stages of its construction. Once it has been done, outfitting work, running trials and verification of readiness for operation will be performed afloat. Upon the agreement, the transfer of the motorboat is planned for January 2016.

Lotsman Baskakov is planned to be exploited by the Arkhangelsk Branch of FSUE “Rosmorport”. Technical characteristics of the modern motorboat will ensure fast and productive transfer of pilots on vessels during low temperatures period in condition of brash ice.

Navigability of the boat enables it to operate in severe weather conditions, in particular, to function in the high sea with the rise and fall of the waves up to 3.5 m. Thus, quality of pilot services in the Arkhangelsk Sea Port will increase greatly after the vessel is put into operation. Moreover, a boat with such modification has been successfully exploited and gained positive reputation during Winter Olympic Games of 2014 in Sochi.
