“Nobody Forgotten, Nothing Forgotten…”
Millions of Russians and thousands of the country’s organizations took part in the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945. FSUE “Rosmorport” was not an exception. In accordance with the Plan for celebration of the Great Victory program the enterprise held a number of successful festive events in March – May 2015.
During the holidays the key actions were patriotic actions, rallies, laying flowers to memorials, etc. Long before the May holidays enterprise officers worked a lot to repair monuments, clean memory boards and territories adjacent to monuments. Besides, in accordance with the plan, one-time financial aid was given to veterans.
In the framework of the events program, a ceremony of laying wreaths and flowers to the monument of sailors and ships fallen during the Great Patriotic War was held in the central office of FSUE “Rosmorport”. Also drawing and poem writing competitions were held, and the enterprise officers took part in the All-Russian action “St.George Ribbon”.
The enterprise branches also took part in the celebrations.
Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch
The key actions of the Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin Branch were children competitions, Saturday voluntary work and actions “I Remember! I am Proud!”, “We Thank You For Peace!”. A number of meetings with the veterans and homefront workers was conducted.
Anadyr Branch
Employees of the Anadyr Branch decorated branch ships with flags, andtook part in the Immortal Regiment march as well as other cultural actions attended by local authorities. Also they held a themed night of the 70
th anniversary of the Great Victory.
In the framework of the memorial actions, the Astrakhan Branch repaired the monument “To the Deceased Warriors – Home-Folks of Olya Village” and restored a stele commemorated to the deed of sailor master N.V. Krasnov.
On 25 March 2015 representatives of the Astrakhan Branch took part in the awards ceremony where veterans and home front workers received jubilee medals “70
th Anniversary of the Vicotry in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945”, which was held in the Trusovsky area of Astrakhan. The branch vessels were decorated with flags. Also, the branch officers took part in the action “Victory Lilac” and planted young lilac on the alley adjacent to the branch’s administrative building.
The FSUE “Rosmorport” Vanino Branch took part in the festive parade commemorated to the 70
th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and decorated its vessels with flags. Also the b ranch took part in the “Peace Doves” action as well as in the local festive events to celebrate the 70
th anniversary of the Victory.
The Makhachkala Branch officers together with the Dagestan Republic authorities took part in the festive march to the Leninsky Komsomol Park and laid wreaths to the memorial of warriors fallen in the Great Patriotic War.
In the framework of the celebrations officers of the Murmansk Branch together with hundreds of Murmansk citizens marched from the Murmansk central square to the memorial “To Protectors of Soviet Subarctic” at the Zelyony Mys nipple.
In accordance with the events program, a monument to protectors of the Kola Peninsula, who fell in the battles in the Subarctic during the Great Patriotic War, was restored.
The Sakhalin Branch took part in the festive events, met veterans and also held exhibitions of children’s drawings commemorated to the heroes who died in the Great Patriotic War.
Representatives of the North-Western Basin Branch laid wreaths and flowers to the monuments and tombs of the participants of the Great Patriotic War, and eternal fire. The branch conducted meetings with the war veterans, citizens of Blockaded Leningrad, and also held Second Icebreakers Festival commemorated to the 70
th anniversary of the Victory and to the deed of the Polar Convoys participants (1941-1945). In the framework of the festive events, a Spartakiad was held among port workers of Kaliningrad.
The Sochi Branch celebrated Victory Day on the 9
th May when all officers together with administration of Sochi laid wreaths to the memorial complex – monument to the Sochi fighters fallen in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945. Also, as a sign of eternal memory of the great deeds, the Sochi Branch officers planted pines on the alley of Memory and Glory in Sochi Seaport.
