On behalf of Federal Marine and Inland Transport Agency Board and myself I congratulate employees and veterans of marine and river transport on our professional holiday – The Day of marine and inland fleets worker!

Marine and inland fleets have always been still remains the key component of our native transport and essential part of the country economics.

This year our country and our branch celebrated 70 years after Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The role of marine and river transport is truly great.

The recent year brought us changes in legislative and regulatory framework: Transport Strategy of the Russian Federation was actualized up to 2030, project of Development Strategy for inland transport up to 2030 was worked out, seaports development strategy is being prepared, Government of the Russian Federation established new standards on inland waterways and hydroengineering shipping facilities maintenance.

There are important goals of large-scale before the branch: to increase competitiveness, complex security and stability of the transport system.

I am sure that all the branch workers – dockers and crews of marine, river, rescue and auxiliary vessels, everybody who keep their watch at vessels and on shore, those who prepare new sea and river transport workers – will contribute to development and flourishing of the Russian fleet.

I have no doubt that knowledge, experience, devotion to the cause, attempts to reach new horizons will enable marine and inland fleets workers successfully solve all the problems that we are going to face!

I want to give my sincere gratitude marine and inland fleets workers and veterans for many years of their honest work and devotion to traditions of the fleet.

Once more I congratulate on our professional holiday and with all my heart wish you health, luck, happiness, prosperity and good luck in your work for benefit and development of Russia!
